The thesis of Boomerang is to invest in three classes of NFT projects: Blue chips, mid tier, and speculative. NFTs are denominated primarily in Ethereum, and can be considered a leverage play to the upside on that blockchain/currency. We will primarily purchase Ethereum-based NFTs, but will at times purchase NFTs on other blockchains (Solana, Avalanche, Binance, etc.). NFTs are largely un-correlated with any other asset class, including crypto. The world's largest hedge fund, Blackrock, is now (as of Aug 2022) offering crypto to clients. Wells Fargo released an update and stated: "In our view, digital assets are a transformative innovation on par with the internet, cars, and electricity." McKinsey just released a report on web3, NFTs, and the metaverse and said its value could reach $5 Trillion by 2030. We intend to capture a portion of that growth.
